(LOW BLOOD PRESSURE
Hypotension is the medical term for low blood pressure (less than 90/60). Normal BP is 120/80. Ideally BP should be under 140/85 (talking about hight BP because doesn’t give lower limit)
Blood pressure monitor
Higher systolic (the highest pressure when your heart beats and pushes the blood round your body).
Lower diastolic (the lowest pressure when your heart relaxes between beats).
The first and higher of the two is a measure of systolic pressure, or the pressure in the arteries when the heart beats and fills them with blood. The second number measures diastolic pressure, or the pressure in the arteries when the heart rests between beats. The pressure created by the heart to pump the blood through the blood vessels is called blood pressure.
Ideally your blood pressure should be below 140/85 mmHg. Normal is lower than 120/80
Symptoms none but ‘the best evidence indicates that high blood pressure does not cause headaches except perhaps in the case of hypertensive crisis (systolic/top number higher than 180 OR diastolic/bottom number higher than 110)’.
Low blood pressure symptoms: dizziness, lightheadedness, unsteadiness, blurring of vision, fatigue, weakness, nausea, cold or clammy skin
